Store Manager - New Store Opening

Spring Step Shoes is continuing to grow, and we’re excited to announce the opening of our second store in South Carolina! We are looking for a passionate and driven Store Manager to lead our new location in North Charleston, SC and become a key part of our expanding team.

About the Role
As Store Manager, you will be the face of the brand and responsible for leading all aspects of store operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving sales, developing a high-performing team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Inspire Your Team
- Build a positive, high-energy sales culture aligned with company values
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their full potential
- Recruit, hire, and retain top talent
Drive Sales & Performance
- Set clear sales goals and lead the team to exceed targets
- Monitor KPIs including sales, units per transaction, and promotional performance
- Analyze performance and implement strategies to drive growth
Deliver Exceptional Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives outstanding service
- Lead by example on the sales floor and foster brand loyalty
Oversee Store Operations
- Manage daily operations including merchandising, inventory, and store presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Manage Financial Performance
- Review and manage P&L performance
- Control expenses and maximize profitability
- Support loss prevention efforts and ensure proper cash handling
Drive Change & Growth
- Execute company initiatives and support business expansion
- Lead your team through change with confidence and clarity
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of retail management experience (footwear or apparel preferred)
- Proven ability to drive sales and build customer loyalty
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
- Experience with P&L management and retail KPIs
- Tech-savvy with POS systems and basic software
- Flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
