We are seeking a detail-driven, highly organized Product Coordinator to support the Merchandising team in managing product development, sample processes, market readiness, and assortment execution across multiple brands. This role is central to ensuring that design concepts move seamlessly through development stages and into final production — ready for presentation, retailer adoption, and consumer purchase.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Merchandising Support
- Assist the Director of Merchandising and PLM with seasonal product lifecycle planning — from concept to final line release.
- Participate in line-building sessions to help create balanced assortments that align with sales, pricing, and trend objectives.
- Maintain detailed product records, specifications, and updates across internal databases and line sheets.
Sample & Factory Coordination
- Manage factory sample orders (initial, proto, confirmation, sales samples).
- Track sample progress to ensure timely arrival, accuracy, and quality.
- Coordinate with international vendor partners on product adjustments, material changes, and feedback revisions.
- Inspect incoming samples for fit, construction, coloring, material quality, and brand consistency and communicate with factories on revisions required.
Product Data & Documentation
- Create and update product specification and item set-up sheets including materials, colorways, sizing, and SKU details in web-based applications.
- Ensure product data accuracy across internal systems, pricing lists in both printed and digital catalogs and RepSpark.
- Assist with cost sheet updates, price negotiations documentation, and margin analysis records.
- Take the lead on creating robust seasonal product descriptions with key features and benefits for inline products.
Visual Merchandising & Sales Support
- Support preparation of showroom displays, product boards, line presentations, and sales tools for market meetings.
- Assist with product photography organization and ensure images are correctly labeled and stored for both single and multi-view options.
- Coordinate with marketing to provide accurate product content for e-commerce and digital campaigns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with design, sourcing, planning, and sales teams to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Communicate clearly with vendors, internal departments, and external partners to support production and delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business, Fashion, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in footwear or apparel product development, merchandising, retail buying, or related field preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word (PowerPoint a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and time zones.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 70 lbs (samples / cartons).
- Ability to move throughout a showroom and warehouse environment as needed.
