Position: Store Manager As the face of the brand in our new retail store, Spring Step Shoes, at the Tanger Outlet Houston in Texas City, Texas, the Store Manager will play a crucial role in providing world-class customer service and driving sales results.

Core Accountabilities:

• Create a positive sales and performance culture for all associates.
• Drive a team-selling environment favorable for the Spring Step brand.
• Set achievable yet growth-minded goals for total sales, individual pairs sold, promotions, and accessories.
• Manage store recruitment, attracting, retaining, and developing talent.
• Provide effective teaching, coaching, and training for all associates.
• Handle performance management and employee relations issues.
• Analyze the P&L and manage controllable costs.
• Ensure proper merchandising per company directives.
• Maintain the safety and security of associates, guests, and partners.

Key Outputs/Results:

• Drive a sales culture through incentives and effective communication.
• Use daily productivity targets to ensure correct staffing levels.
• Analyze the P&L to manage costs and deliver on KPIs.
• Ensure store asset security through adherence to policies.
• Implement key initiatives to achieve selling and marketing objectives.
• Analyze reports and statistics for improvement.

Essential Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:

• Knowledge of the footwear or fashion industry and retail sector.
• 1-3 years prior retail experience, with a minimum of 3-6 months in a management role.
• Proven track record of building business and customer loyalty.
• Proficiency with basic software.
• Ability to problem solve scheduling to achieve business goals.
• Ability to carry 40 pounds, climb an 8-foot ladder, and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
